Macy’s Is Defiant As Petition To Dump Trump Nears 600,000 Signatures

Both Donald Trump’s organization and Macy’s issued statements this week reaffirming that are unmoved by the nearly 600,000 people who have signed a petition asking the retail giant to drop its association with the reality star.

“Macy’s marketing and merchandise offerings are not representative of any political position,” Macy’s spokesman Jim Sluzewski told BusinessWeek. “Many of the individuals associated with products sold at Macy’s—or at any retailer, for that matter—express personal opinions that are not related to the merchandise we sell or to the philosophies of our company.”  Full story here!

They can be defiant and we can take our business elsewhere. I wonder if they lost 600,000 customers this holiday season how good that would make them feel. Drop them a card, I'm not shopping Macy's anymore because Trump makes me sick. In America, it's all about money. It's always about money. That's the only language these "business" folks understand. I've said goodbye to Macy's, Papa John's, Applebee's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and I'm still making my list...

That's a lot more signatures than the "Dump Texas" petition! Not sure which I want more.
