Hot or Not? Men with Tats (Tattoos)

WGB:  I get a lot of feedback pro tattoo pics on the blog and some very vocal feedback against pics of guys with tattoos on the blog so let's end the debate with comments below.

It depends on the tat. If its art, it is super sexy. If it is well designed and executed, it makes me want to touch it, trace it, taste it.

Personally don't care for ink, but these guys are hot enough that it's silly to complain about it.

I used to love tats as they were rare and now not to have them is rare and I kinda like it

I second Anon. You have to have a good mix and you do.

Besides, if you went one way or the other then you'd have to choose between Ben Cohen and Nick Youngquest and that would be almost as hard as Sophie's Choice.

For me, personally, less is more.

This guy is to die for, tats are an art and he has done his as art. My BF is inked everywhere and I find it extremely exciting. I touch it, trace it and taste it. You did not ask about the nose ring, but it is sexy as well, on him. I think you continue to post inked dudes.

Tats are HOT

I don't like tatoos on a man. I'm not crazy about piercings anywhere but the ears. I really don't like nose rings. Yet I would do Mateus Verdelho in a minute. I think he is a very sexy man.

Couldn't agree more with the first Anonymous post. If it's really art, I'm all for it, but if it's another guy with the same tribal band tattoo, I'm not impressed.

I'll vote NO on tats. When mess up a perfectly good body?

When it comes to Tattoos the canvas is more important than the art. A beautiful body with tattoos is still hot. THis guy is hot but the tattoos are a bit over kill and the nose ring is a turn off. If it was just the arm tattoos and those at the waist it would be enough. The ones on his legs is starting to make him look like a doodle pad.

If the guy is hot, and has a good body, why not put some tats on him? As long as its not overdone. As far as the piercing topic is here, I'll add my two cents to that. They are a big turn off for me unless its ear piercings- and let me be even more specific- nothing that makes your earlobes three times their normal size. A simple stud is fine with me. Anything else, I'll pass.

Personally, I find tattoos on a guy disfiguring and a turn off. I put them in the same category as going on date and finding out the guy's a smoker. I think the same of piercings, a total turn off. Shaving one's chest or one's pubes off is another turn off.

Hmm, I wonder if all this is a reason why I'm single!

To me ink is a complete turnoff. It tells me that something isn't quite right about someone who would defile their body so extensively that way. I feel the same way about body piercing, except for the ear, but even then people get carried away. I find the human male body beautiful. Why deface it with nothing more than graffiti? Sorry, NOT hot but very tacky.

Tats are not for me, they are tacky and only for the local equivalents of US trailer trash. Any man with any ounce of self respect or esteem would not even have to think twice about having one. Here in the UK one of the first to sport many tats was Beckham, I think my point is made.

I love a guy with tattoos. But I like tats that are done with care and thoughtfulness about what goes where and how it all ties together. A bunch of weird random pictures doesn't work for me.

Self abuse is never hot!

with Tats, the soft and delicate harmony of the skin seems destroyed for ever, what a shame !
Even if they are well drawn, bodies looks less hot,and more ugly to me.

For me tats are just another form of personal expression. Same as piercings, facial hair, style of clothing or even your haircut. Some people can carry off something bold and 'in your face' others can't. It you don't like something; don't do it. But don't criticize someone else for doing it.

For me, it depends on the tats and sometimes even the guy.

That being said, you post the photos you want to on the blog; I love your blog for the variety of topics and men! It wouldn't be as great a blog if everything you posted was the same!

I have found that those who self-mutilate (piercings, tattoos) have a tendency to engage in a whole variety of other self-destructive behaviors -- smoking, drinking, drugs and/or obesity. It is not logical to pursue someone with a death wish, lest you joining him on that trip. Peter, this is for you -- maintain your standards. There are far worse fates than being single!

Tattoos used to be the exception (and wildly hot) and now they are the rule (boring). They're trendy and not unique; not a great source of 'self-expression'. Find something unique and make it yours, not something embraced by the masses. That's 'self expression'.

I like guy either way. I agree it's art. I also, agree that there is a good mix on this blog.

It was hot for a while, now it's just over done.

I find a tat or two very sexy if they are well done. Overkill I find very unsexy. Sleeve tats in my opinion are overkill and completely turn me off. Not saying I would kick this guy out of bed, but I would find him much hotter with about half the tats!
