A second federal lawsuit has been filed seeking to overturn California’s new ban on psychotherapy aimed at making gay or lesbian teenagers straight.
The Christian legal group Liberty Counsel filed a civil rights suit Thursday in Sacramento naming as plaintiffs two Southern California boys, ages 14 and 15, who have been undergoing so-called "reparative therapy" with Encino psychologist Joseph Nicolosi.
The suit claims the ban, scheduled to take effect Jan. 1, violates the teens’ freedom of speech and freedom of religion by denying them the chance to be cured of "unwanted same-sex attraction." Full story here!
