Let's get a grip!! Has there been evidence that Chick-Fil-A has banned gay people or discriminated against them from buying their product??? I haven't read any evidence they have.
When we start forbidding businesses a license because of their political and moral views, we've become fascists!
For Menino in Boston to forbid Chick-Fila from setting up in Boston because of their anti-gay opinions is indeed fascist! AND it is an embarrassment to the gay community and putting them in a very bad light that they can't abide views other than their own.
This is a First Amendment issue. If you don't like their views, you can choose not to buy their product. BUT for government to get involved deciding what businesses are welcome based on their opinions is anti-American!
It's also what we as gay Americans have fought against when it's been applied to us!
It's not a first amendment issue, although that's what the wingnuts want you to believe. If you don't they cry "victim!" until you get bored and go away.
It's about supporting a corporation that has donated over FIVE MILLION DOLLARS to hate groups such as FRC in order to make sure that gays continue to be treated as second class citizens in this country.
The company and anyone working for them have every right to say what they want about anything they choose. However, they have to expect that words have consequences. They don't like being called bigots and haters (again, because of the claim that it's a free speech issue). But it never occurs to them that what they support hurts other people. Or they just don't care because they ENJOY hurting people they don't like. Who knows how those minds work. I don't want to know, personally.
So go eat a chicken sandwich and support their free speech rights if you want. They'll take your money and be happy that you hate they gays as much as the rest of these bigots (their assumption). But what purpose does it serve other than to ensure that more money will be spent to keep discrimination alive and well in this country? Know that some of the money came from your pocket ought to make you feel real proud.
ANYBODY has the right to their opinions and beliefs regardless how warped they may be. Chick-Fil-A is a business that serves food. That is their purpose. Despite their anti-gay sentiments, for a government entity to refuse them their business only because of their views is fascism!
If anyone does not want to buy their product because of such views, then fine. There's certainly nothing wrong with a good boycott! We need to respect the difference.

I disagree. It is a First Amendment issue!
