Happy 54th Birthday to Madonna...

Love her or hate her I have been following this woman since I was 11.  (30 years as a fan.)  I don't always agree with everything she does and her wealth makes her out of touch at times BUT she got me to survive being gay in a time when it wasn't so cool.  When I didn't want to go on as a teen, her music somehow was a message for me to carry on and know that it would get better.  And it did get better for me....so much better!

Happy birthday to a woman who will go down in history for the impact she has had on the gay community, pop culture, music, fashion, and the media.  Madonna, I wish you continued health and success.

I don't fault Madonna for her wealth . She's earned every penny of it . Madonna has set a musical standard that will never be matched . She is and always will be the Queen . The pop stars of today are just sad replicas . Seriously , is anyone even going to remember Lady Gaga , Britney Spears etc in 2040 ?

Madonna has contributed nothing to the world of music -- nothing. Young kids today don't even know who she is -- only old gay men care about her.
