I certainly didn't expect anything less from her. She's never been a champion of equal rights and as shown in her grandson's "faggot" slur, there's clearly no love for the LGBT's in her household either. This seems like a non-story to me. Of course she's there.

In the end, as Americans we all have the right to speak our minds, shop where we will, and associate with like minded individuals. My fear is that one day when the gay population can not tolerate any kind of disagreement from anyone, who will stand up for us when we have excoriated the majority so frequently?Certainly not them. The initial attack on the son of the owner of Chick-fil-A all came from him answering a specific question, he answered, with out rancor, just honestly.What prompted gay men to respond with such antipathy. We know the majority does not approve of us, or our way of life. These responses do not reflect the openness and acceptance we profess to live by. At 50 yo, I am beginning to feel like younger gay men are becoming just like the people they profess to despise.
