"The next time you log onto Manhunt.net, you might keep in mind that those men you’re chatting with aren’t the only ones interested in your profile. With no announcement to its members or to the press, Online Buddies, the parent company of the hugely popular hook-up website, has launched an ad agency to help digital marketers reach Manhunt users after they’ve logged off.
Men visiting Manhunt are automatically tagged as gay, an attribute that follows them as they look at the newspaper, order a pizza or download a new song. It’s part of an exploding trend wherein marketers target whatever they’re hawking to specific demographics.
Why should you care? Maybe you don’t. But many believe that a person’s sexual orientation shouldn’t be something made available to any marketer who asks." Full story here via Edge!

I haven't trusted ManHunt after the founder gave a lot of money made off of gay men and/or ManHunt members to fund Republican anti-gay agenda.
Research Grindr....they are tracking and selling EVERYTHING you do....it is listed as one of the top 10 worst apps.
This is nothing new. You guys have ads on your website that are cookies based, and I don't see you writing to complain about it or removing them all together.
Plain and simple, if you don't want your activity being tracked, clear your cookies and browse privately. If you have something to hide, then it is your responsibility to hide it, not an advertisers fault for "exposing" you.
This is nothing new at all. I'm sure there are ads being displayed right now on this website that are cookies based, and I am being offered products according to my previous search history. I don't see you guys complaining about those advertisers nor removing these targeted ads.
It is really very simple, clear your cache and cookies or browse privately if you do not want to be tracked. If you have something to hide then it is you responsibility to clear your history and make sure no one finds out your secret, not the advertiser.
