Falcon Studios contract star Erik Rhodes, 30, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning from a heart attack during his sleep. Falcon officials, including Adam Q. Robinson, Falcon’s vice president of production, issued statements through various social media outlets this morning about Rhodes’ passing.
“It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Erik Rhodes this morning. Erik died of a heart attack in his sleep,” Robinson tweeted. “Erik has been an amazing friend & part of the Falcon family for 8 years, a man of steel on the outside but all teddy bear on the inside.”
A tweet on Rhodes’ Twitter account reads, “Erik Rhodes has left us this morning at 5:30am his family and boyfriend Riccardo are in deep pain, please respect this sad moment.” Rhodes, born Feb. 8, 1982, was an openly gay man, who topped and bottomed both professionally and in his personal life.
He performed in 44 scenes for Falcon Studios, most recently in Body Shop, co-starring Landon Conrad, Marc Dylan and Trenton Ducati. He was also a troubled man, by many accounts, struggling with drugs and depression. Full story here!
WGB: My thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends. I just met him in person 2 weeks ago in Chicago so this stings even a little more having just seen him face-to-face.

Erik and I communicated often on FB, and he was truly a nice and humble guy. And at age 30? This is truly a loss not only for his audience but for him family and friends.

Poor Erik, this is so sad. He sounded like he must have been somewhat of a lost soul. Drugs are a terrible thing to get into, you never know where that road is going to take you. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him, RIP Erik...

Extremely sad and tragic ending to a young man who was in so much pain. Hopefully his friends, those in the industry and the Falcon executives tried to get him help. However, I have to wonder based on his porn industry employer's statment... RIP and may his family find peace and comfort knowing he is no longer suffering.

I knew James and he was truly happiest with his longtime boyfriend Anthony, Everyone else was just an colleague or acquaintance. They had a very true love. Ant, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much he ment to you. Sorry Riccardo helped ruin his life.
Erik Rhodes/James naughtin. I knew him personally. This is my Take on him in as little words as possible: a victim Of incest, sex addict in the highest form, narcissistic, self absorbed. SOCIOPATH. Disloyal, insecure, manipulative, sadistic as well as masochistic. I've never loved a man as much as I loved him. But a true sociopath wants your pity so he can work you like a fucking puppet. Go ahead and fall victim to his trickery, he gave a shit about no one but himself. His sexuality came from an extremely dark place. If you knew of the severe sexual abuse this man experienced, the idea of seeing him as an object of sexual desire would cease entirely. It did for me. If you knew of the thousands of sex partners he's taken, without limits or boundaries, because his boundaries were compromised at an early age. this man was so broken, and this was before the porn, or the crystal meth. I'm not sure our pity is the answer, that was his weapon of choice. My final words: His mother and stepfather should be ashamed that they created a monster, someone incapable of giving or receiving love. Someone obsessed with sex, and who betrayed him at an early age. You contributed to his self destructiveness,And the pain he caused so many others. I cannot help but love James Naughtin. But it came at the price of my own sanity. Some people are too toxic to engage any further. Nonetheless, may his internal suffering be over.
Wow. I say wow to that anonymous posting by the person who knew him personaly, and had the balls to post what he did about this man. I have a very close friend in the porn industry, and I must say that your post about Erik sounds alot like my friend. I'm worried about him. Have been for a long time. It truly looks and sounds as if this lifestyle is not so fabulous after all.
