He's just using the stroke as an excuse to finally come out, instead of being honest and saying he was living a lie because he didn't have the balls to admit he's always been gay! The stroke probably damaged the center of the brain that causes inhibition, thus allowing him the freedom to accept and admit it.
Chris's sexuality is his own, no matter what it might be. I saw this doc when it first aired in the UK a few days ago. The thing that struck me was that everybody and their dog wanted to jump in and condemn him, either for not being courageous enough to come out in the first place or to ridicule him in other ways. I think that's CRAP!
Every person's sexuality is their own, and unique to them. How they express it is also entirely for them, and them alone. I wish nothing but the best for both Chris and his husband, Jack.
Separate issue - I only discovered your blog a couple of months ago and am saddened that you are going to end it. But, you must do what you must do. Thanks anyway - I've enjoyed the archives too.
