"Guess bad behavior doesn't always sell. "GCB," ABC's new soap about suburban women being naughty, managed only mediocre ratings in its Sunday premiere.
An average of 7.6 million total viewers tuned in to the 10 p.m. drama, according to Nielsen. That amounted to a distant second place behind CBS' "CSI: Miami" (10 million).
Among adults age 18 to 49, "GCB" was likewise a runner-up, behind NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" (2.4 rating versus 2.2).
There may be time for "GCB" to grow its audience, although mixed reviews, its late time slot and the soapy format make it unlikely the show will see a ratings explosion.
Based on the book "Good Christian Bitches," (ABC dropped the full title because it was deemed too offensive), the series finds Amanda (Leslie Bibb) returning to the well-heeled Dallas suburb where she grew up and reconnecting with high-school classmates, including former beauty queen Carlene (Kristin Chenoweth).
What did you think of "GCB"?" (Source)
WGB: I actually loved the show. The first episode is always a little slower while they build the characters but it had scandal, death, comedy, evil bitches in church, fancy cars, big houses, secret gay affairs.....what was not to like? I hope more people tune in next week or at least like me set it on DVR. (10 pm on a Sunday, I am heading to bed...)

Maybe it wasn't a good year to have a program with Republican GCB's. We have enough of them on the news with the big party in Tampa
Hope it gets better!
I think it will gain momentum if the network doesn't get impatient and yank it, as they always do.
I loved it! Its was funny and Kristin Chenoweth & Annie Potts are awesome! Maybe they should make it a summer series and it would have better ratings when other networks are showing reruns.
I saw the premiere and loved it ! It's a sad commentary when more people would rather watch Donald Dump threatening to fire a bunch of has-been's and never-were's than a quality original drama !
