Yet another example of the intelligence deficit in America . The scary part is that in twenty five years these bubbleheaded morons will be running the country . It's all downhill from here !
It seems like no one under the age of 25 has any idea of ANYthing that happened culturally on Earth before 2009. There used to be a joke in the 70s that "Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?" When the kids say something similar to that now, it's with complete ignorant sincerity. Ugh.
Are we old, or are they stupid? Twitter them if they've ever heard of the Beatles. The Beatles might have been a generation ago, but being one of the most sold bands in history of R&R, you think they would have some clue.
@Anonymous: You are probably right. Goes back to the fact that people have a 5 minute memory, and if it doesn't pop-up on their iPod in under 10 seconds, it's either not relevant or it doesn't exist.
Not surprised or offended. Time marches on. Popularity waxes and wanes. I remember wondering who some of the singers that my parents liked were. In their time, they were wildly popular.
You aren't old... I'm 27 and I know exactly who Paul McCartney is!! Those people are either stupid or playing along to feed the thread so they can feel like they belong to something in this world.

I'm only 29. Knowing who Paul McCartney is doesn't make me feel old- it makes me feel worldly.
