Chris Meloni is Gonna Get Naked and Bite You!
"TVLine has learned exclusively that the former Law & Order: SVU front man is circling what my sources are calling a “major role” in the show’s upcoming fifth season.
But what role? An HBO rep declined to comment, but I hear Meloni — who’s currently shooting a top-secret role in The Man of Steel — is in talks to play (duh) an incredibly powerful vampire." Full story here!

Is Ex-Gay Group Exodus Shutting Down?
"Ex-Gay Watch reports that Orlando-based "ex-gay" self-haters Exodus International is in dire financial straits and just held an emergency "secret" meeting about fundraising.
This year several major former figures of the "ex-gay" movement came forward to acknowledge that the entire movement is a scam and that not one person, to their personal knowledge, has ever actually successfully changed their sexual orientation." Full story here!

“Manliest Man In The UK” Strips for Elton John's AIDS Foundation
“AIDS is such a devastating disease for so many people around the world,” he said. “I was honored to get this opportunity to try and do my part to help raise awareness of the disease and ultimately save lives. I know I’m going to get some stick from the lads at Bedford but it’s all good fun and the whole campaign has a very serious message which needs promoting.” Full story and more photos here via Manhunt Daily!
Boston Fox Affiliate Attempts To Ruin Respected Teacher's Life For Gay Porn Past
"In another misguided "won't somebody think of the children" story for the week (see Manhunt billboard debacle), the Boston Fox news affiliate has decided to "expose" a well-respected and celebrated area teacher for having appeared in a handful of gay porn films in his past.
Kevin Hogan, an English teacher at one of the country's top-rated public high schools, was ambushed by a Fox reporter, cameraman and producer after their investigations turned up the educator's past career of dabbling in gay porn." Full story here!
Yes, Chick-fil-A Says, We Explicitly Do Not Like Same-Sex Couples
"Bet Chick-fil-A wishes this month would end. Over the past few weeks, the restaurant chain's deep ties to the anti-gay movement have been exposed and uncovered by a number of activists, most notably Jeremy Hooper at Good As You. Whether it's Focus on the Family, the National Organization for Marriage, the Pennsylvania Family Institute, or Exodus International, Chick-fil-A ties run deep.
Of course, the President of Chick-fil-A wants gay people to share no hard feelings. The restaurant will gladly feed homosexuals gobs of chicken sandwiches, after all. But when it comes to marriage, Chick-fil-A believes strongly that same-sex couples just don't deserve equal rights." Full story here!

Banned Bisexual Players Settle With Gay Softball Group
"A gay softball organization has agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to three players who were disqualified from its 2008 Gay Softball World Series because of their perceived heterosexuality.
And as part of the settlement announced Monday, their team will be awarded the second-place trophy it was denied at the time.
The men - Stephen Apilado, Laron Charles and John Russ - filed the federal lawsuit against the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance last year, claiming they had been discriminated against because they were bisexual, not gay." Full story here!

Nearly 3 out of 4 Americans with HIV don’t have infection under control
"Only about 1 in 4 Americans with the AIDS virus have the infection under control with medications, federal health officials said Tuesday.
Part of the reason is that about 20 percent of those infected with HIV don’t know it. People can have an infection for years without developing symptoms." Full story here!

Frank discusses coming out as gay, going out as congressman
"Barney Frank wasn't the first member of Congress to publicly reveal he was gay, but he was the first to do so voluntarily, he told reporters Tuesday in talking about his decision to retire.
Still, Frank said, he didn't come out about his sexuality until he was 47.
"So I was not the daring young man on the flying trapeze, but it worked out better than I thought," Frank said.
A prominent 16-term liberal Democrat from Massachusetts and arch-enemy of political conservatives nationwide, Frank announced Monday that he does not intend to seek re-election in 2012." Full story here!

Manhunt’s New Ad Campaign Causing Quite the Stir (and not the good kind!)
Manhunt has launched its new uncensored mobile site and it seems like the billboard announcing this new site is getting a lot of panties in a wad.
"We received dozens of complaints about the campaign here at Manhunt HQ in Boston, as did our ad agency, Lamar Advertising. Citizens were reportedly concerned about children being able to view our billboards. One annoyed parent even wrote an online op-ed piece last week claiming that her complaints got our ads taken down (actually, our LA campaign expired as scheduled on 11/20/11)." Full story here via Manhunt Daily!
WGB: I see nothing wrong with the ad. If it were a man about to kiss a woman we would never hear a peep.

Via the Advocate: "Cohen established the Ben Cohen Foundation and proceeds from a calendar containing photos of the sexy former-athlete will benefit the foundation and its network of likeminded partners. Cohen happily signed the calendar for a long line of patient patrons at the Prowler, a gay sex shop located in the Soho neighborhood of London."

Sandusky Charges Bring Focus on Pennsylvania's Sex Crime Laws
"Plainly stated, the most serious of the 40 criminal charges lodged three weeks ago against Jerry Sandusky are that he sexually attacked young boys, subjecting them to anal and oral sex.
That may sound to many people like a case of rape, but police and prosecutors turned instead to a different section of Pennsylvania’s criminal code for the most serious of the sex offenses the former Penn State assistant coach faces.
Each of those seven felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison, the same as rape. Full story here!

Gay Republican Group GOProud On Barney Frank's Retirement
"You may recall that GOProud supported Frank's 2010 opponent Sean Bielat, who opposed the repeal of DADT, opposed ENDA, and opposed just about every other aspect of civil equality for "average gay people." GOProud also paid for homophobic ads that characterized Barney Frank as "catty" and compared him to one of the Real Housewives." Via JMGWGB: I find Chris Barron's statements and the GOProud group itself disgusting. Self hating homosexuals are the first words that come to mind.

Top Marine Says Service Embracing Gay Ban Repeal
Since the lifting two months ago of a longstanding U.S. ban on gays serving openly in the military, U.S. Marines across the globe have adapted smoothly and embraced the change, says their top officer, Gen. James F. Amos, who previously had argued against repealing the ban during wartime.
"I’m very pleased with how it has gone," Amos said in an Associated Press interview during a week-long trip that included four days in Afghanistan, where he held more than a dozen town hall-style meetings with Marines of virtually every rank. Full story here via Edge!

33 Years Ago Today :: Harvey Milk Assassinated In San Francisco
"Harvey Milk left us a legacy. He profoundly influenced gay and lesbian politics, and was a champion of human rights. Milk once said, “…you’ve got to keep electing gay people…to know there is better hope for tomorrow. Not only for gays, but for blacks, Asians, the disabled, our senior citizens and us. Without hope, we give up. I know you cannot live on hope alone, but without it life is not worth living. You and you and you have got to see that the promise does not fade.” Full story here via Back2Stonewall!

David Pocock Says He Won't Marry Until Gay Marriage Is Legal In Australia
"Rugby star David Pocock says he won't marry until Australia legalizes gay marriage.
Pocock, the 23-year-old Western Force and Wallabies openside flanker, told The Sun-Herald Extra that he and his fiancee Emma Palandri won't wed until their gay friends can.
“More than 60 per cent of Australians are in favor of same-sex marriage, so it just doesn't make sense to stop it from happening,” Pocock said. “For a lot of Christians, it's a big issue and I know there's a lot of people who don't share the same opinion as me. It comes down to equal love. I don't think it's the government's role to tell people that their love is right or wrong.” Full story here!
