Have you ever had a hot Doctor? I did once a long time ago when I was about 22 years old and I was so nervous getting naked in front of him. Imagine that....

Science Tackles the ’Ick Factor’ :: When Straights Do It, Fine; When Gays Do It, Straights Recoil
The case can be made (and it has been) that one major stumbling block in the path of full legal and social equality for gays is the revulsion straights feel when they contemplate gay sex--or rather, one specific sexual act. Now science shows that straight disgust at anal sex is real... but contingent on who’s doing it to whom. Full story here via Edge!

Question of the Day :: How will you...
...Celebrate New Years Eve. Where will you celebrate? Do you go out or stay in? Do you have any New Years Eve traditions?
I will get us started..... Our NYE celebrations vary year by year. Some years we go away and try someplace new or fun that is not too far away. Nonprofits Get First Shot at Home Foreclosures
PHOENIX (AP) - Francisco and Pam Cruz maneuvered around boxes of new flooring and open cans of paint as they surveyed the foreclosed Phoenix house they would soon call their own.
This house wasn’t typical of the thousands in foreclosure-battered Arizona that banks have auctioned for cheap - often to investors who make just enough repairs to satisfy a potential renter.
The Cruzes will become first-time homeowners, helped by one of many nonprofit groups that can snag foreclosures at a discount - and sometimes for free - before banks make them available to speculators.
It’s a glimmer of hope for struggling neighborhoods that are watching banks foreclose on a record number of homes this year.
In the Cruzes’ case, Rebuilding Together obtained the home for free from JPMorgan Chase & Co., the bank that foreclosed on its previous owner. Honeywell International Inc. provided the labor to renovate it and $25,000 cash for the materials. Full story here!

Judge strikes down NYC’s gruesome tobacco ads
The city’s campaign to scare smokers with grotesque images of decaying teeth or a diseased lung wherever tobacco products are sold was struck down Wednesday by a federal judge who concluded that only the federal government can dictate warnings that must accompany the promotion of cigarettes.
U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff handed a victory to the nation’s three largest tobacco manufacturers and the retailers who sell their products when he ruled on the legality of a 2009 city Board of Health code change requiring the display of smoking cessation signs where tobacco products are sold. Meat labels to include calories starting in 2012
The Agriculture Department will require many meat labels to include the number of calories and other nutritional information starting in 2012 so that consumers can make healthier decisions about what they eat.
The rule announced Wednesday is part of the government’s effort to educate Americans about nutrition and diets. It applies to 40 of the most popular cuts of meat and poultry products. Ground meat and poultry will have the facts on their labels. Raw cuts will offer the information on labels or to consumers where it’s purchased.
Labels will list grams of total fat and saturated fat, and fat percentages for products already offering lean percentages. Full story here!

Update on Male Model Jed Hill
Dec 26,2010 -- Almost six weeks ago I went through a life changing experience, thankfully with everyone's prayers and positivity I was able to pull through as much as possible. As the holidays came and are now coming to an end it really took an emotional toll on me, not having a home I can call my own has been very tough. I have been carrying on as normally as I possibly can, running to auditions and acting lessons, doing everything in my will to achieve my personal goals in life and really just follow my dream. No doubt the heavy burden of figuring out where I was sleeping next and living out of a suitcase is always on my mind but I refuse to let it get in the way of what I came out here for. Not having many friends or family in LA, my Thanksgiving was spent giving back to the community, I donated my time feeding the underprivileged, having lost everything and really having nothing, I can relate and it just felt really good to make people smile with even just a meal. As of January 1, I will be moving into my very own apt. I never imagined how difficult it can be to start from the ground up. Hopefully with the new year, new wonderful things will come with it. Not having any furniture or a lot of clothing will make it easy to move in but the emptiness of it will just not feel very home like. I am truly blessed to have some really great people on my side but it's a lot of work, all the help I can get is greatly appreciated. If anyone can find it in their hearts to make any donations or help in any way possible, it can be life changing for me.
Thank you all and God bless,
Jed

Dan Savage Slams Misquided Gay Republican Group
"GOProud describes marriage equality as a 'states rights issue' which is what interracial marriage once was. GOProud isn't a pro-gay rights organization, they are an organization of gay Quislings and useful idiots that help to window-dress the Republican Party, which is really still rabidly anti-gay to its core." - Dan Savage

Police Capture Suspect In Murders Of Wilton Manors Florida Gay Couple
Polk County authorities have arrested a man police believe killed two men in Wilton Manors over the weekend.
Peter Serge Avsenew (pictured), 26, was captured near Dundee, Fl., miles away from where police said he murdered
Avsenew, who is from Hollywood, was spotted by cops in Powell's black 2003 Saturn Vue.
No charges have been filed yet, but Wilton Manors police have labeled Avsenew the lead suspect. He is expected to be extradited to Broward County soon.
Police have not released how the two men died or what the motive might have been. (Source)
WGB: Such a horrible and tragic story!
The End of Gay Culture (Again!)
"[T]he majority of gay men and lesbians want nothing more than to raise families behind picket fences. There are other signs of increasing conformity in the gay world. Leather is seen by most younger men as more silly than hot. While they may exercise, younger men mostly don’t strive for Adonis physiques. It goes on. (Lesbians are way ahead of the curve on this. They’ve been mating and nesting for years.)
"Is this bad? Probably not. We’ve been fighting for acceptance. Now that we’re getting it, it’s up to us to do what we want with it. If younger gay men and lesbians want the same things as their straight counterparts, so be it. Have we lost something? Probably. Just as blacks lose their jive and soul when they become middle-class suburbanites, and Jews lose their Yiddishkeite, so we shed the camp, the bitchy humor, the diva worship, and the other facets that defined “gay” for so long. Most people, however, would consider it a fair tradeoff." - Steve Weinstein, writing for Edge On The Net in response to yesterday's JMG post about Jonah Goldberg's column on the "homosexual bourgeoisie."
WGB: What are your thoughts readers? I am excited about all the progress we have made in terms of acceptance but some of my favorite memories in life have been particpating in and being part of our gay sub culture.
I guess I am on the fence because I want to be seen as and treated as an equal to my hetero counterparts but I can't imagine a world without Divas, Drag Queens, and Disco Dudes.
I don't want kids (personal preference) but I do live in the burbs with my husband and dogs very happily amongst straight friends and neighbors. I don't go out dancing anymore locally but the first thing I look for before I book a vacation is a gay nightlife so I can dance, laugh, and hang with my peeps.
What is your personal opinion on this matter?

Wicked Expensive Fuck-Up :: The $50,000 Cock Shot
"Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has been fined $50,000 by the NFL for sending his cock shot to a female employee of the New York Jets, for whom Favre played at the time. Favre had faced a suspension by the league, a slight punishment considering he is expected to retire after this weekend. The fine is less than 1% of Favre's 2010 salary, but on a per-inch basis (NSFW), the fine, at least, is a whopper." (Source-Joe.My.God)

WGB: Wow, I have such memories of this song and that time in my life. I was hanging with my friends Mikey, Tharon (Auntie), and Steven and we would blast this song. This whole Whitney album remixed was a huge hit at the time.
This is back when I went out to Boston gay bars and clubs a little too often. Campus then Paradise on Thursdays, Machine on Fridays, Random bar/club on Saturdays (Buzz, Ramrod, Paradise....), and finally we would end the weekend with drinks at Fritz on Sunday and then off to Chaps for Tea-Dance. (And if I had any energy left a jaunt over to Avalon to end the weekend.) Ahh, those were the days!

Wicked Cruel :: Joseph Farah: Purge Gays And Gay Allies From The Conservative Republican Movement
"Purge is not a bad word. It simply means, according to the dictionary definition, 'to rid of whatever is impure or undesirable; cleanse; purify.' Conservatives need to purge from their movement anything that is not conservative. They shouldn't be attempting to broaden the definition of 'conservative.' They shouldn't be trying to build a bigger tent in the failed model of the Republican Party. They shouldn't be revising or lowering their standards. And they absolutely shouldn't be embracing enemies of the moral values that have defined the movement from the beginning."That's why it's time for true conservatives to get their act together as America faces its greatest challenges ever in the next two years. God cut Gideon's army up, slicing and dicing it until it represented only a tiny fraction of its numbers. God didn't want a big army to win victory. He wanted a miracle performed by a tiny army listening carefully and being in obedience to His commands. God purged thousands from Gideon's army. Conservatives need God's help, not GOProud's." - World Net Daily founder and three-time Just For Men gold medalist Joseph Farah.

7 Tips for Releasing Weight in the New Year
No surprise: Losing weight is the #1 most popular New Year’s resolution. So, here are seven strategies (that work) to help you shed the extra pounds:
- Recognize that weight loss is a spiritual issue. You can’t release weight with the same spiritual mindset that gained it. Read books like Marianne Williamson’s A Course in Weight Loss. It shares 21 spiritual lessons for shedding your weight, forever. When you love your body, you make decisions that honor it. Embark on a path of self-love.
- Drink lots of water! Water has a boatload of great benefits for your body. Among other things, it helps boost your metabolism and curb your appetite. Drink at least 8 cups a day.
- Describe your body with words that lift it up. Avoid negative self-talk, or criticizing yourself – even when talking with others. “I am beautiful. I am releasing weight with ease,” is a healthier and more effective mantra than, “I look so fat today. I am disgusting.”
- Look long-term, and avoid fad diets. If you go on a diet, you will eventually come off it. Real change is longer term – don’t look to fad diets for answers.
- Replace emotional eating with a healthier alternative – like going for a walk. If you’re eating when you’re not hungry, and are unable to replace comfort foods with healthier alternatives or activity, then you may wish to seek professional help.
- Stock your home with healthy foods. Buy foods that a caveman would eat: berries, unsalted nuts, some lean meats, vegetables, etc. It’s much easier to eat healthier foods when that’s what is available. After you eat a healthy meal or snack, bring awareness to your body’s reaction. How does it make your body feel to eat nourishing meals?
- Understand the calorie deficit. Weight release occurs when the body burns more calories than it consumes. While the formula seems simple and straightforward, know that calorie deficits are most effectively achieved by working on both ends of the equation – eating healthier foods will result in fewer calories consumed, and regular exercise will result in more calories burned. Don’t try to release weight through starvation. It will slow down your metabolism, and likely result in long-term weight gain.

CPAC Losing Social Conservative Crowd

"Don’t ask, don’t tell" repeal a watershed moment for LGBTs in 2010
The repeal of the military’s ban on openly gay and lesbian servicemembers proved a watershed moment in LGBT history, but it almost did not happen.
Republicans successfully blocked debate of a "don’t ask, don’t tell" repeal bill on the U.S. Senate floor in September. Congressman Patrick Murphy [D-Pa.], U.S. Sens. Joseph Lieberman [I-Conn.] and Kirsten Gillibrand [D-N.Y.] and even Lady Gaga championed the measure, but it took a lame duck session of Congress to finally get the job done.
In spite of objections from U.S. Sen. John McCain [R-Ariz.] and other Republicans, the U.S. Senate voted 65-31 on Dec. 18 to repeal the Clinton-era law. And President Obama signed the bill into law on Dec. 22.
"No longer will our country be denied the service of thousands of patriotic Americans who were forced to leave the military-regardless of their skills, no matter their bravery or their zeal, no matter their years of exemplary performance-because they happen to be gay," said Obama. "No longer will tens of thousands of Americans in uniform be asked to live a lie, or look over their shoulder, in order to serve the country that they love." Full story here via Edge!

Always Tomorrow
I was just on a fellow bloggers blog and he seemed really down in the dumps so I sent him this song/poem. It is actually a song but I print it off and have it posted on my wall as a poem or words of encouragement when I am having a bad day. I hope his day gets better!
Always Tomorrow
I've been alone inside myself, far too long
Never really wanted it that way but I let it happen
If I could do it all again, my life would be
Infinitely better than before, I wouldn't waste a moment
Make time for laughing with my friends
Make love, make music, make amends
Try to make a difference, try to love, try to understand
Instead of just givin' up, I'd use the power at my command
But there's always tomorrow to start over again
Things will never stay the same
The only one sure thing is change
That's why there's always tomorrow
I guess it took a little time for me to see
The reason I was born into this world and what I'd have to go through
Before I'd finally realized that I could be
Infinitely better than before, definitely stronger
I'll face whatever comes my way
Savor each moment of the day
Love as many people as I can along the way
Help someone who's given up, if it's just to raise my eyes and pray
But there's always tomorrow to start over again
Things will never stay the same
The only one sure thing is change
That's why there's always tomorrow
Before your last setting sun
And everything your heart has longed for
Has yet to be one
Yes there's always, always, always tomorrow
Though people come and they go
But if you've brought some love to their lives
Then you've got somethin' to show, oh
There's always, always, always tomorrow to start over again
Things will never stay the same
The only one sure thing is change
That's why there's always tomorrow!
