Via JMG: "Forty-two percent of Americans now say same sex couples should be allowed to legally marry, a new CBS News/New York Times poll finds. That's up nine points from last month, when 33 percent supported legalizing same sex marriage. Support for same sex marriage is now at its highest point since CBS News starting asking about it in 2004."WGB: Suck it Miss California! On second thought, please don't.

Remember, there are many ways to skew surveys and their data, so as heartening as these new results are, i would still take them with a small grain of salt. That's a helluva jump in such a short time.
True, but on the other hand there's no denying that only 28% of the country wants to extend zero recognition of any sort to same gender couples. Having been born in 1960, and having been in college when Anita Bryant started her crusade in Dade County, I can't help but be thrilled by that!
RedCedar, amen! If someone had told me any of this even a year ago I would not have believed it one bit. And if anyone had said Iowa would get there before NY or Cali, well I'd say they was shroomin.
