Comedian Sandra Bernhard will rock the mic for the annual Boston Gay Men's Chorus fundraising gala Crescendo on May 9 at the Roxy. Expect funny, fierce and filthy. The event also includes a silent auction with tasty prizes like a trip to watch a Red Sox-Orioles tilt from home plate seats at Camden Yards, a trip to spend a week in a luxury condo in Buenos Aires, and - you don't get this at other fundraisers - Drag Camp for four with Verna Turbulence. Also: a chance to conduct the BGMC in concert. Tickets are $75, $100 with private reception, and you can get them at www.bgmc.org or 617-542-SING. (Source)

Have you heard? Sandra Bernhard is advertising with the Boston Gay Mens Chorus on Manhunt.net. I know, not all that classy, being an anonymous sexual hookup site and all. And they even contributed the max to the Campaign fund.
But what is more disturbing is that the website owners let their member, and even encourage slurs against HIV positive gay men. Being called unclean, dirty and diseased, being told not to exist, these are all very acceptable.
So far, neither Sandra nor her manager have commented, nor has the chorus.
Who cares?
Sounds like a fun event. Sandra is a hoot, and I hear the Chorus throws a great party!
I agree who cares?!
Got my VIP tickets to see SB. Been going to the event for years, already more fun than any other event I've been dragged to ... or dragged others for that matter.
BGMC is an organization that does so much outreach and good. They are classy and sassy.
well, I guess advertising on a sex site among stone throwing at poz guys is just normal now, why wouldn't someone "classy" like the Boston Gay Men's Chorus be there? It's really just a matter of time before mainstream gay goes there.
maybe they just don't want you there with them.
again, who cares?
why would Sandra Bernhard and the Gay Chorus care at all about how diseased gay guys are being treated?
Are these the kinds of ads that you're complaining about?
I guess Sandra is ok with it if she's advertising there.
