Variety says Kristen Johnston is in talks to play Edina Monsoon in the pilot. Kristen was at a table read with Fox HBICs last Friday. Kathryn Hahn was also in the table read, but it's not known what role she helped butcher. I'm guessing Patsy?

From the start, I said that Eddy and Patsy were like two of us (ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS) gay guys, living in the '70's! Of course, that was wishful thinking!
I always thought Abfab was incredible and have my doubts about this new version, but not all American versions of British programs are bad, All in the Family was good, as is The Office.
Ab Fab used to be good, but is completely lacklustre now whenever a special is done.
Kath & Kim doesn't quite hit the mark in the same way the Australian version did.
I've never seen AbFab, but I love Kristin Johnston and after watching the clips, I think she would be good in that role. I'm a big fan of The Office, but the US Coupling was aweful. It will be interesting to see how this turns out if it gets picked up.
